No phones. No screens. Just kids discovering how much fun real life can be! Turtle Island Preserve is a place to unplug and reconnect — with nature and themselves.

DETAILS

* for rising 1-6 grades

* drop off is 9:00 am pick up is 3:00 pm

*bring a bag lunch (nothing to be chilled or heated)

*bring a day pack to include: water bottle, hat, change of clothes, rain gear, bug spray & sunscreen (if desired), trash bag for disposables

* cost $375 for the week - sibling discount available ($325)

* once we have your registration, you will be contacted with more information

* subjects may include but not limited to:

fire making blacksmithing flint knapping horse care knife safety basketry gardening hiking shelter building creek playing nature crafts cordage

Our Day Camp is designed for those campers who may not quite be ready for true “wilderness immersion” in our over night camps. This will be a wonderful introduction to Turtle Island and our teachings…and you will be immersed in nature, just able to be in your bed at night. It is a great first step to our regular Boys Camp.

Our mission & philosophy for Day Camp is the same as our overnight camp…to encourage personal growth in each camper. We do this by encouraging a connection to the natural world through exploration of our 1000+ acres and our natural history preserve.
